I also think that this book is a big boost for the arts and humanities fields. Much has been written lately in the field of education about STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and its importance to the continued success of the United States. This biography illustrates the importance of design and usability on the viability of a product and a company in addition to STEM. It also demonstrates the value of persistence. Jobs was kicked out of his job at Apple in the 1980s but came back in 1997 eventually becoming CEO again. The second time around, Apple flourished under his stewardship, as most of us know and appreciate.
