So for the very first time we’ve the official Hot Men of Children’s Literature: Double Whammy Edition #1 starring . . .

This is G. Neri…

… and this is Jesse Joshua Watson
"G. Neri is an award-winning filmmaker and new media producer from Los Angeles, where he also taught animation and storytelling to inner-city youth. Now living in Tampa, Florida, with his wife and their daughter, Neri writes for teens and children. This is his debut book soon to be followed by his graphic novel, Yummy: The Last Days of a Southside Shorty." His website is gneri.com where he happens to get extra points for simultaneously Simpsonizing and South Parking himself at the same time.
"Jesse Joshua Watson is a fine artist and illustrator whose work has appeared in galleries, on CD covers, and more recently in children’s books. An avid traveler, Watson’s artwork reflects the cultures and people he connects with along the way. Watson lives with his wife and their sons in Port Townsend, Washington. Chess battles with family members are a favorite pastime. His Web site is jessewatson.com."
Greg has an upcoming book with Penguin called SURF MULES (Summer 09). And Jesse does the artwork for the HANK ZIPZER series by Lin Oliver and Henry Winkler (a.k.a. the Fonz). CHESS RUMBLE is Greg’s first book and their first book together and will be out in November via Lee & Low Books.

Ooooh, that 2K7 boy is looking GOOD!
They are not only HOT they are also super fine and really, really nice.
This is always one of my favorite blog post subjects. Thanks again for making my week so much better looking.
Hey….I followed the links and found out that Jesse’s dad did the illustrations for one of my all-time favorite books, “The High Rise Glorious Skittle Skat Roarious Sky Pie Angel Food Cake” by Nancy Willard. His name is Richard J. Watson and he’s looks quite nice himself!!! And he and Jesse live in Port Townsend, WA, one of my favorite places.
Thanks for the post, Betsy.
Hot? No comment (cuz I know them both and they’d tease me forever if I agreed with ya). But they’re both extremely nice, funny, and talented guys.
Good choices.
You forgot Anthony Horowitz. The interview with him on the Alex Rider: Stormbreaker made buying the somewhat cheesy movie worthwhile!
That’s right, Jesse’s fine fine fine and all mine mine mine.
Greg isn’t too bad looking either.
