Shout Out

A big thank you going out to the students of Jill Ratzan at Rutgers University.  Liz Burns of Tea Cozy and I were their guests just last night and they couldn’t have been kinder hosts.

Personally, I would find the required reading aspect of my blog to be akin to sheer torture.  That you guys suffer through it as nobly as you do (and did not pelt me with pieces of fruit in varying shades of decay) speaks highly of your tolerance for silly types like me.  Thanks again for a great evening.

About Elizabeth Bird

Elizabeth Bird is currently the Collection Development Manager of the Evanston Public Library system and a former Materials Specialist for New York Public Library. She has served on Newbery, written for Horn Book, and has done other lovely little things that she'd love to tell you about but that she's sure you'd find more interesting to hear of in person. Her opinions are her own and do not reflect those of EPL, SLJ, or any of the other acronyms you might be able to name. Follow her on Twitter: @fuseeight.

  1. Oh behalf of all of us, you’re welcome! It was a delight to have you.

  2. I knew there was a reason I meant to pack my moldy avocados! Perhaps next time. Decaying fruit aside, thank you for speaking with us. I definitely will be able to use that information to get over my non-blogging slump.

Last night was fun; good company, interesting class & the chance to talk about books.
