Laura Vaccaro Seeger – Pete Seeger is her husband’s uncle.

Brian Selznick – His grandfather was a cousin of David Selznick, best known for producing the epic blockbuster Gone with the Wind.

Jessica M. Pigza – Her uncle inspired Jack Gantos to name his character Joey Pigza.

    Thank you for this. Here’s how much of a film nerd my mother is: when I first handed her a copy of Cabret to read, she immediately said, “Selznick? Like the filmmaker?” NOW I get it.
