Maybe for Xmas Santa will buy me a ticket to NY for the Jan. 5 book event unless they are touring the West Coast? Poor Grover. Elmo really is the other, cheaper, younger woman. And don't get me started on today's incarnation of the show - Baby Bear burped...his parents burped...they all laughed...and I thought, "Is *this* what the show has come to?! BURPING jokes?!?!" And I'm depressed further by the new "Monster" book, but it proves what we knew all along: Elmo is nothing but a publicity whore. It's "All About Eve" - Grover is Bette Davis (the experienced mature grown-up) and Elmo is Anne Baxter (the punk upstart trying to steal the spotlight).
