The Book What I Wrote

You know how I sometimes mention that I wrote a book for ALA Editions?

Well here it is:

Should anyone ask, I’m going to claim that the girl beneath the tree is me.  Me with long flowing locks and a dress of some sort.

On sale in late March.  More details about it to come.

About Elizabeth Bird

Elizabeth Bird is currently the Collection Development Manager of the Evanston Public Library system and a former Materials Specialist for New York Public Library. She has served on Newbery, written for Horn Book, and has done other lovely little things that she'd love to tell you about but that she's sure you'd find more interesting to hear of in person. Her opinions are her own and do not reflect those of EPL, SLJ, or any of the other acronyms you might be able to name. Follow her on Twitter: @fuseeight.

  1. Kate Messner says:

Congratulations, Betsy!! I love the cover (though I think that might actually be me under the tree). Except wait….where’s my glass of wine and box of chocolate?

  2. jmyersbook says:

Oh WOW! Girl, you’ve got good cover karma! (Or should that be ‘kover karma’?) Seriously, from the color to the layout to the lettering to the title, I am in serious book-love! With a cover and a title like that, I cannot WAIT to buy it and get at what’s inside.

  3. R.J. Anderson says:

    Gorgeous! Congratulations!

  4. cool! can’t wait to get it, even though i’m probably going to get laid off from my library position.

  5. Oh, look at you – a book already! Very nice!

  6. Woo Hooo! Way to geaux!

  7. Jen Robinson says:

Way cool, Betsy! Looking forward to seeing it.

I don’t think it’s me in the picture, because I would be perched up in the tree (though possibly with some of Kate’s wine and chocolate, if I could manage it).

  8. Little Willow says:

    Congratulations, Betsy! How exciting!

  9. Looks great! Congratulations Betsy!

  10. KieraParrott says:
