Why I Like Working in New York

Because sometimes, just sometimes, Shaun Tan will randomly walk into my library while on his honeymoon.

Elizabeth Bird About Elizabeth Bird

She has served on Newbery, written for Horn Book, and has done other lovely little things that she'd love to tell you about but that she's sure you'd find more interesting to hear of in person. You really do have a great life. Of course, you could come to Nashville and see Martina McBride and her daughters shopping at Davis Kidd Bookstore.

  9. Jenny Schwartzberg says:

Wow! Do tell us what he said and did!

  10. Fuse #8 says:

Actually, we talked quite a bit. He told me about the short film he’s working on and when it’s slated to be released. We talked about upcoming projects, whether or not he’ll be making a trip to Ellis Island this time around (he still hasn’t gone), and when he’ll next be in NYC. Just a lovely visit, really.
