RETURN TO THE HUNDRED ACRE WOOD
WHAT: On October 5, in conjunction with the publication of Return to the Hundred Acre Wood, the first authorized sequel to the last Winnie-the-Pooh novel in more than 80 years, Penguin Young Readers Group will unveil and present a permanent mural for the original Winnie-the-Pooh stuffed animals that inspired the books — adding another chapter to its long history with Winnie-the-Pooh and the Library. Pooh, Eeyore, Piglet, Kanga, and Tigger have lived at The New York Public Library since 1987 and currently find their home in the Children’s Center at 42nd Street. See history.
Jim Dale, Grammy Award-winning reader who voiced all of the characters in Return to the Hundred Acre Wood, will give the first official read from the new book to school children before the unveiling.
