Ramona -- I have fond memories of Nosmo King. =)

And I am so, so happy to report I have NOT yet read The View from Saturday yet, so I will have the pleasure of reading it soon. Yay! I so love Konigsburg.

Oh, these are wonderful! My choices haven't turned up yet, but these are definitely ones I love, and I'm so glad they're in the top 100. I do find myself wishing I had voted for my favorite Harry Potter -- Prisoner of Azkaban -- instead of the first one. Oh well.

I always thought "Sarah, Plain and Tall" was a really good book. It's just a simple story told really well in touching language. Sometimes that's all you need.

I also really enjoyed "The View from Saturday". E.L. Konigsburg is a really difficult author for me, in that she has written some books that I really enjoyed, this being one of them, but also many others whose titles I won't even type, they were that painful an experience. However, I think her best book was "From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler", which is one of my all-time favorites.

The View From Saturday would definitely have been number 11 on my list! But I already had one Konigsburg, and decided to spread the love around.

And how could I have forgotten Ramona?! Now I want to go re-read that book.

That yellow Ramona and Her Father cover is the one I remember from my childhood. Brought back memories, because the copies we have at work are the more recent covers.

I regret not voting for each of the 5 Prydain books, but that would have taken half the list. Plus, I had to include another Alexander title -- Price Jen. Which would have only left 4 slots for the entire remainder of children's literature.
Still, they are THAT good.

Yippee... C of S made the list! I debated ranking it higher on my list (was 7) to try and skew the score and tip it into the top 100 (the extra few points might have made the difference!) but I decided to be true to my list...and it made it anyway. Happy Day.

Or Jody did more than one L'Engle and I'll show them all together. Could be either one. Mwah-ha-ha!

I hope "Just wait until you see Jody's Madeleine L'Engles" means that there will be more than one L'Engle on the list!

I can't believe I forgot about The View from Saturday! I love that book :)

I agree with My Boaz's Ruth that I kind of hope all 7 HP's don't make it. They're great and I love them, but there's so many other fantastic children's books - I'd love to see a variety.
