In your reveiw for "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star," I was excited to find that you mentioned Eric Rohmann's lovely picture book for Jame's Guthrie's "lullaby" called "Last Song." After much searching, I discovered that the lullaby "Last Song" had not been set to music, and then, like magic, a sweet little tune wafted its way into my head. I wrote the tune down and friend Paul Raiman wrote the instrumental part for me. I recorded the song and wrote about it on my SingBooksWithEmily.wordpress.com blog:

I'm a crummy reporter. The guest speaker was Sujean Rim, author of Birdie's Big Girl Shoes. Trouble is, if you will recall I had just flown in from Barcelona that day. I was severely jet lagged and my notes sort of decomposed over the course of the day. The result? Poor Ms. Rim got lost in the shuffle. I'll try to make it up to her one of these days.

It's always a good day when I see a new Little Brown & Co preview post, because I know that, through the generosity of Ms. Stapleton, I may receive several ARCs of upcoming books. Thanks, Betsy, for these previews, and thanks to Victoria for the ARCs.

Thank you again for tormenting us with info about books we can't get our hands on for months! ;) Although it's lovely that we have a chance to receive a galley from Little Brown. "FuseNumberEight is Great" is certainly true!

Also, laughed out loud when you dropped "Boo-urns" -- I use that all the time!
