Thanks for the great overview, Betsy! And you guessed it. The author of FRIEND ME! is none other than my sister! In fact, the project is a collaborative sister thing, as I was bouncing the idea around some time ago and thought my sister would be a great fit for the project. She agreed, and bingo!

I loved The Girl Who Owned The City when I discovered it in 8th grade. I read it at least 3 times that year!

Betsy! Thank you so much for those very kind words. I am so pleased to be working with Lerner again; they are a talented bunch of folks. I do hope people like the book, which is VERY different from ASHES.

This is terrific-thank you so much. That Friend Me book sounds very cool. And we need that aliens book! I’m smack dab in Virginia horse country, so that horse breed book definitely caught my eye (yes, it would have been nice to have the Assateague/Chincoteague ponies mentioned).
