I LURVE Marjorie Priceman's work. Can't imagine Winter deals with the way Josephine Baker used sex as well as race to mess with people's heads, but I'm really interested to see how he tackles such a complicated, nuanced person. When I saw people in Black face, I was like What! but than I read the text and realized Winter worked it out well and was very glad he didn't gloss over this aspect of Baker's life.
