Can't wait to dig in, and hopefully pick up a copy or two for our school library. Definitely hearing the push to get boys reading loud and clear, so I can't wait to introduce this to some of the middle graders at school. It just sucked me right in too! I felt this was similar to The Thief, but my feeling was that it was more due to the complex political setting and the unreliable narrator. I'd actually read The Thief recently for the first time and the feeling of wondering if maybe I didn't know the whole story came up really quickly while reading False Prince. Definitely easier to understand and more entertaining for the middle grades set, though. I'm looking forward to recommending this many times over to my seventh graders. The rioting was barely contained when they found out that not only did I not have a copy of the book, but that it wasn't even out yet. I'm definitely intrigued - as are they!
