Oddly enough, at my library we have a giant Curious George (almost as big as me), and he's our library mascot. I love him. Just not the books. I can still remember decades ago going to the children's section of our public library before I was old enough to read and heading straight for the shelf with Curious George on it and taking the book home. It was a treasure and still is. I had never heard the story about the escape of HA and Margret Rey. That's amazing! Thanks for sharing. I loved Curious George as a child.
