Thanks for this, Betsy! Johnson fans will (I think) also be pleased to know that we're bringing back Barnaby, too. The first volume of The Complete Barnaby should be out by October 2012.

I can't believe Harold has fallen out of the top 10! This book delights no matter how many times I've read it.

Here's the perfect t-shirt (or hoodie) for those of you who are both Harold and Doctor Who fans. Harold facing a Dalek with a purple screwdriver! I'm getting this for one of the teens in my life who loved Harold as a kid and now loves Doctor Who.

I'm sorry but I don't remember the sight where I first found the link to this shirt, otherwise I'd give credit. Maybe Swiss Miss?

Harold! Harold is a joy. Every family should have this book in their house. It speaks so perfectly to that urge to create, and the simple, straightforward, logical imagination that all kids have, and so often gets squelched out of them by life.
