Book Trailer Reveal: Nowhere Boy by Katherine Marsh

NowhereBoy_cvr-683x1024Let me tell you a little something about reveals. They slot neatly into two categories: Cover Reveals and Book Trailer Reveals. Now Cover Reveals are pretty doggone easy. You just say you’ll show the book jacket of a book, even though you have the sneaking suspicion that somebody on Netgalley or edelweiss has probably already seen it. It never really feels like a full “reveal”. Book trailer reveals are different. In those cases, the YouTube address really has been hidden until the day of the reveal. And while it can certainly be shared, was it?

Meet Katherine Marsh. I was introduced to her books years ago when I read her book The Night Tourist. The main location of New York Public Library makes a cameo in that book, hence my interest. Now, years later, I’m rather taken with this video she’s concocted about her latest book Nowhere Boy. Living in Belgium, Marsh has been affected by the country’s response to the Syrian refugee crisis. In her book, the friendship between a young Syrian refugee and an American boy living in Brussels is paired with the true tale of a Jewish refugee hiding from the Gestapo. Check out the real places and news events that influenced her multi-starred book:

Many thanks to Morgan Dubin and the folks at Macmillan for this reveal.
