2014 Judge: Robin LaFevers
While Robin LaFevers has never trained as an assassin or joined a convent, she is a recovering Catholic who has fired a bow, drawn a knife, and grown up to be hopelessly enamored of life’s mysteries, thus perfectly preparing her to participate in SLJ’s Battle of the Books. She is also not ashamed to admit that she believed fairy tales were non-fiction far longer than was socially acceptable. Robin is the author of books about assassin nuns, including Grave Mercy, Dark Triumph, and the upcoming Mortal Heart (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, November 2014.)
