How’s this for thinking outside the school box? In September, The Bronx Zoo will open its gates to nearby middle school students so they can learn Wildlife Conservation from zoo experts.
"Teachers will be prepared for the school year by zoo workers who will help them develop a science-rich curriculum. Parents will be encouraged to participate in special workshops.
Each grade will work on a yearlong project that will integrate all their subjects.
