Barrington Irving’s Fearless Flight Into The History Books

I must say, this has been some week for aviation news!  Goodness. First we have the Amelia Earhart expedition team, en route to the South Pacific - all in an effort to uncover new details into Earhart’s disappearance.   Now I’m reading ’new news’ about 23-year-old, African American pilot,  Barrington Irving. "Mr. Irving, a senior majoring in aeronautical science at Florida Memorial University, completed a solo [...]

The [...]

Who said schools can’t MOO?

How’s this for thinking outside the school box? In September, The Bronx Zoo will open its gates to nearby middle school students so they can learn Wildlife Conservation from zoo experts. "Teachers will be prepared for the school year by zoo workers who will help them develop a science-rich curriculum. Parents will be encouraged to participate in special workshops. [...]

Care to reminisce?

One of my sisters (I have four) LOVES to talk about the past and what life was like growing up.  Every time she starts, I exit stage right.  Who knows? Maybe I have a fear of days gone by. But ultimately, it’s annoying. So of course, I have to stumble upon Adam Hunter’s article When I [...]
