When it comes to kids these days, evil looks at others and "KICK ME" signs taped to your back, are things of the past. Now it’s all about bullying and then pretending you know nothing about it.
It’s so out of control; one would think that ALL parents would be on board to DELETE cyberbullying forever. NOT.
Just read today’s NYT’s article, A Hoax Turned Fatal Draws Anger but No Charges, by Christopher Maag. It sends a chilling message about how maniacal cyberbullying has become. Maag begins the article, "Megan Meier died believing that somewhere in this world lived a boy named Josh Evans who hated her. He was 16, owned a pet snake, and she thought he was the cutest boyfriend she ever had." It turns out that a woman, who some call
MOM, started this hoax! (hat tip by colleague S.V.)
Help spread the word, Cyberbullying Has To Stop! Here are resources to help you get started. Last week I posted this PSA video from the ADCouncil, but it’s worth watching again – just grab a Kleenex first.
