Anyway, Jerry Craft is most talented with both his charm (see letter below) and his livelihood, encouraging children to read - through his books and his animations. So for me, Jerry’s letter was like opening a pandora’s box of goodies, and he has quickly become an honorary W.A.R. member. Congrats, Jerry! Keep inspiring our young people to read – who for some – will only reach their dreams when exposed to books they can relate to. You are providing that platform and I want to thank you.

Here’s what one librarian said about my new bff.
"Our kids really look forward to Mr. Craft’s visits. He engages the kids with lively conversation while showing them how to unlock their creativity. And they LOVE his Mama’s Boyz books!"

Comixfan Forums – AN INTERVIEW WITH JERRY CRAFT

Amy, thank you for introducing me to Jerry Craft and these wonderful characters. Once again, I echo everything Jerry said in his letter to you. It’s one a.m. – and I’m only up because I keep thinking our electricity will go off again. We’re in the middle of an absolutely horrific ice storm here in Oklahoma (so are the people in West Texas and Kansas and Arkansas – and it’s all headed east!) Trees are down from ice coatings all in the backyard and along the banks of the creek behind our house. But I thought I’d check your blog before I try to sleep (there’s part of a frozen branch hanging on the main electrical line that leads from our house to the poles along the creek, and I just know it’s going to pull it down) because your blog always lifts my spirits, no matter what’s going on, just as it does thousands (surely even more) of other people!
George, please be safe! It’s sounds treacherous out there! And, as always, thank you for your kindness and support. My Friday has been MADE.
Amy, thank you for featuring Jerry. His comics are wonderful. Keep up the important work.
