Writers Against Racism: Remembering Dr. Dorothy Height and Freedom Sisters

In broadcast journalism we refer to breaking news as THIS JUST IN. We stop everything and go with the story of the day. And in education I implore teachers to do the same. Here’s a video which provides the framework for FREEDOM SISTERS, how they were chosen, and why they were/are important to remember.

And in an effort to remember the selfless works of the ‘Godmother’ of the Civil Rights movement, I am starting to gather resources for students and teachers to learn more about her life’s mission.
