Just a quick update:
I did manage to wake up this morning at 5:30 and drag my daughter with me to see the live taping of the CBS Saturday Early Show on the 5th Avenue plaza. It was a great time! There were happy kids who were eager to receive their free books – thanks to the Children’s Book Council team!
Jon Scieszka was LIVE, on the plaza, and announced the winners of this year’s Children’s Book Awards. The Dog Whisperer, and the CBS anchor folks. I was even fortunate to grab a quick interview with Robin Adelson Shinder who is the Executive Director of Children’s Book Council. Robin’s interview will be posted later this evening, and I thank Robin for inviting us to this exciting event.
On a side note, I have some books written by some of my W.A.R. authors who I hope get nominated next
year.
