Writers Against Racism: Zetta Elliott on Speculative Fiction & the Future of Publishing

W.A.R writer Zetta Elliott, who helped to spearhead the movement, allowed me permission to show her video from a recent panel discussion: Speculative Fiction & the Future of Publishing (It’s extremely informative.)

I wasn’t able to fully grasp all areas of Zetta’s discussion because it is filled with relevancy to take note of in literature. I’m also RUSHING to the Javits Center for BookExpo 2010.  …more on BookExpo a little later today.

I loved these insights from Zetta Elliott. Especially how she had the foresight to self-publish and be prepared when her first book was published. As writers we have to take control of our journey and not wait around for someone else to validate us. Thanks for this post-it was inspiring!

Nilki, thank you! I met so many authors at BEA yesterday who had that look in their eyes of “I’m not letting ANYONE hold me back.” They need our support in so many ways. Zetta is an expert in this area, and has an awesome blog, too! :)

  3. I just ran across this post and don’t see a video. Has the link gone away? Can you share it again?

    • Hi, Stacy! I have to repost the video. We have changed blog platforms and have experienced some kinks. Thanks for checking back. -Amy
