Writers Against Racism: Get Caught Reading An AOC’s Book

I was hoping to end the summer, catching everyday people, reading books by Authors of Color.

Please send these jpeg snapshots to me, via e-mail, with a short blurb about the setting and who is in the picture, name of the book, author etc. to…

Let’s get these books into our home and school libraries! The goal is to get 100 AOC posted by September!

By the way, this is a picture of my son holding a book I am reading by an AOC, Desmond Tutu & Mpho Tutu, Made For Goodness and Why This Makes All The Difference (Harper Collins 2010)

  1. I like this idea! I’ll link to it it in my Sunday blog post. I hope you get way more than 100!

  2. Love it!

Just found out about this thanks to @LitChat’s tweet. I’m going to do a special post about this later today. And I’m going to contact some other book bloggers and see if I can’t get them in on this too. ^_^

  3. Thanks so much, TuraLura! The goal is to get 96 Authors of Color’s books – Let’s catch ’em all – reading!!!

    As always, thanks Ari, too!

  4. Brilliant idea.

I’m helping spread the word as well. My post went up this morning!
