Writers Against Racism: THE DAY THE FORTUNE TELLER DIED by Marianna Heusler

EXCITING News for moi! Here’s a not-so-good image of my FIRST blurb, on a book jacket! I was so excited I wanted to share it with you.  And while you’ll need a magnifying glass, it’s the little things in life…

Do the Dead Return to Help the Living?

The Day the Fortune Teller Died by Marianne Heusler [Mainly Murder Press, LLC April 2011]

When Eva Avanti, the new girl, comes to town she is immediately ostracized. Her funky clothes and her dysfunctional father don’t exactly make for popularity in the small New England high school.

Stella, the local necromantic, tells Eva’s father that Eva’s dead mother paid her a visit. Great harm will come to Eva in the next month.

Isabella bonds with Eva because she, too, is without her mother. She takes up the cause, trying to learn who wants to harm Eva and why, hoping to show her friends that being different can work in your favor.

Marianna Heusler is the author of the young adult mystery The Night The Penningtons Vanished (2002), which was nominated for an Edgar as best young adult mystery. The next book in the series is The Day The Fortune Teller Died. She is also the author of five other published novels, including the Polycarp series, published by World Wide Mysteries.
