Writers Against Racism: Harlem’s Librarian Inspires Through Strong Voices

“There is a sweet spirit in this place,” Dr. Cornel West

Thanks to Librarian Paul McIntosh, students at the Harlem’s Wadleigh Secondary School for the Performing Arts and Frederick Douglass Academy II were treated to wise words from Princeton professor, Dr. Cornel West, who inspired and challenged the students (and staff) to think beyond their here and now.

“The fundamental question of all of education is what kind of human being you will be on the move between your mama’s womb and the tomb,”

(comes via Harlem school’s librarian brings role models to students through speaker series  by Micah Landau)

Thanks to my mom for sending me the link.  Great story!
