Have been teaching about heroes. So many great heroes go unheralded. Thanks for bringing another one to the forefront. Jonathan Daniels was indeed an epic hero.
There are so many more and what makes me sad is that if they are not remembered in some form, it’s negates their history.
They are remembered in the hearts of those they stood up for. Most true heroes expect and receive no awards, yet they risk everything for the sake of others. These people are the ones who should be looked to as role models in every society. Any time a man, woman or child stands up on behalf of another, hope grows. It is not easy to farm hope in some of the arid climates we have created, but those who nurture it have a special place in heaven. When I see hope thrive and multiply, I give thanks to all those courageous souls who, on a daily basis, make the impossible a reality. They need no accolades, but they deserve much more.
