Hats off of to the elegant Phylicia Rashad, who in the 80s and 90s portrayed the uber mom on the sitcom The Cosby Show. Back in those days, Phylicia also served as a mentor and a friend to me. When I phoned her to tell her I was diagnosed with breast cancer, her teacher came out. “Amy, get some flax seed, celery, nuts and enzymes that will kill the cancer cells.” She was then, off the phone and off to her photo shoot in the city. So today’s Women’s History Month tribute is to my friend, Phylicia Rashad. (Thanks to my niece for typo fix).
