At Doodles and Dailies, the First Second Books blog, Jennifer Brown has a nice report on Gene Yang’s YALSA presentation. And here’s an interview with him from the Centre Daily Times.

Johanna Draper Carlson spots a change in direction for Sabrina, the Teenage Witch: Sabrina’s cat is now the lead character, and the comic is being reslanted for boys, with Sonic the Hedgehog writer Ian Flynn taking over the story.

Kiel Phegley interviews Landry Walker, the writer of Supergirl: Cosmic Adventures in the 8th Grade, at Comic Book Resources.

Faith Erin Hicks’ The War at Ellesmere is out, and Rachelle Goguen talks to her about it at Living Between Wednesdays. (Via Comics Worth Reading.)

When I was a kid, my Irish relatives would send me comics annuals every Christmas. We always looked forward to those, and I never understood why we didn’t have something comparable in the U.S. At the UK blog Now Read This!, Win Wiacek looks at one of those delights of Christmases past, the 1967 Marvel Storybook Annual, and puts it into context for American comics fans.

The aptly named AAUGH.com has a gallery of Charlie Brown Christmas books up, with the cover and a sample of interior art from around 20 diffrent paper iterations of the famous cartoon. (Via The Beat.)
