Brigid Alverson

Jimmy Gownley’s comic-strip review of Harriet the Spy, which he did for Sunday’s Unshelved, just made me wish he would do a graphic novel adaptation of the whole book. It would be a perfect match!

Jack Wilson of The Graphic Classroom has completed his master’s thesis, and it’s on an interesting topic: Whether reading comics motivates fifth-graders to read more.

Teach Comics is a new site dedicated to using comics in the classroom; a recent post also focuses on picking age-appropriate comics for the classroom. (Found via All Ages Graphic Novels.)
