It’s all about the serial comics this week, with all the major players having something out. Boom! Studios finishes it’s premiere Incredibles title. Expect more later. Marvel continues Lockjaw and the Pet Avengers, and excellent title so far. Stock up on comics while you can this week, because there won’t be a lot coming out next week. The San Diego Comic Con starts next week, and con week releases are always small.

Franklin Richards Schools Out (One Shot) – The Calvin & Hobbs of the Marvel Universe is back for more fun and mischief. It’s summer vacation, giving Franklin Richards, boy genius and trouble maker extraordinaire more time to get into even more trouble! Franklin, his robot nanny H.E.R.B.I.E. and his teleporting dog Puppy come out and play for some summertime adventures. Franklin Richards continues to be a great title for kids and adults alike. It’s not to be missed.
Iron Man Armored Adventures (One Shot) – The popularity of the movie Iron Man has spawned spin-offs, mostly to the younger reader set. Most notably is the new animated series Iron Man Armored Adventures on Nick Toons. This one shot is based on the cartoon. Teenage Tony Stark loses his father and is serverly injured himself in an airplane crash. Using his father’s repulsor technology, Stark keeps himself alive. With the prototype Iron Man suit he also finds, and his friends Jim Rhodes and Pepper Potts, he fights villains while trying to survive High School. Fans of the cartoon will love this comic.
