Links: The storm over The Storm in the Barn

Brigid Alverson

Is The Storm in the Barn, recent winner of the Scott O’Dell award, really historical fiction? Monica Edinger says yes, J.L. Bell says no, and he has further commentary here and here.

Comic Book Resources has a nice 18-page preview of Lola: A Ghost Story, which Snow reviewed here last week. Also up at CBR: A preview of Sky Pirates of Neo Terra, accompanied by an interview with Sean Megaw, the creator of the game on which the comic is based.

Out from the Comics Shop has this week’s new kid-friendly releases. The Robot 6 bloggers name their picks from the Wednesday batch, and there are a surprising number of kids’ comics in the mix.

Heading to ALA? A bunch of us are going to be there; check our Twitter feed for updates.
