Wizards of Mickey #1 – This title started as a segment in Mickey Mouse & Friends, but became popular enough to get it’s own ongoing series.  It picks up where the story left off in #299.  Mickey, Donald, & Goofy are still competing in the Grand Wizard Tournament, trying to win back the Diamagic stolen by Peg-Leg the Great.  Magic and Mickey have been a great combination since Fantasia.  It’s good to see the tradition continue.

Smile – This title is a true story from creator Raina Telgemeier’s life.  On the way home from Girl Scouts, Raina trips and injures her two front teeth.  Thus starts her dental nightmare, which is coupled with a major earthquake, boy confusion, and friends who aren’t so much.  This coming-of-age story is targeted at middle school students, but teens and anyone who’s had to deal with their own dental drama will be able to relate.
