I was at C2E2 over the weekend, and I wrote up a lot of stories about it for different venues. Here’s my summary of the kids’ comics scene at PWCW.

Kristy Valenti takes a look at Raina Telgemeier’s Baby-Sitter’s Club graphic novels and discusses what makes them tick.

Tim O’Shea interviews Nicolas Hitori de, one of the artists for Jamie S. Rich’s Spell Checkers, at Robot 6.

Michael C. Lorah talks to C.C. Colbert and Tanitoc, the team behind the graphic novel Booth.

Hope Larson, the author of Chiggers and Mercury, will write and illustrate a graphic novel adaptation of Madeleine L’Engle’s A Wrinkle in Time.

She has an MFA in printmaking and has worked as a book editor and a newspaper reporter; now she is assistant to the mayor of Melrose, Massachusetts. About Good Comics For Kids

A collaborative blog covering good comics for kids by Brigid Alverson, Robin Brenner, Lori Henderson, Esther Keller, Michael May, J. Caleb Mozzocco, Mike Pawuk, Scott Robins, and Eva Volin.

We are a group of librarians, parents, and writers--and most of us wear at least two of those hats--who started writing about kids' comics in 2008 because, well, nobody else was. We like everything from Literary Graphic Novels to blatantly commercial (but fun!) licensed properties. And we don't lump all ages together; we're smart enough to know that a three-year-old has different abilities and interests than a 13-year-old.

Our goal is to cover kids' comics (for readers from birth to age 16) with both breadth and depth, through a mix of news, reviews, interviews, and previews, and to be both accessible to casual readers and interesting enough for serious fans.
