Lori Henderson

There’s a good variety of titles on the list this week. For the first time in quite some time, Boom! Studios does NOT dominate the list. Archie & Friends starts its two-part story parody of the insanely popular Twilight Saga with “Twilite”. Papercutz releases the second volume in their Disney Fairies series of graphic novels, and Square Fish, a new publisher to the list, releases four volumes of the Moomins, a popular series from Europe, giving them a new lease on life. Don’t forget to check out the picks this week for some “Bone”-chilling choices.

Comments

  1. Hi, Lori! The Moomin books you list are *not* comics; they are a series of traditional novels with illustrations sprinkled throughout the story. (I believe there are nine in total.) These are distinct from the Moomin comics, which appeared in European newspapers in the 1950s and 1960s, after the novels became popular. Drawn and Quarterly has the North American license for the Moomin comics, as well as the Moomin picture books for young readers.
