New York Public Library has released a list of children’s books for 2010 called 100 Titles For Reading and Sharing. The list includes a select number of graphic books including Smile by Raina Telgemeier, Zeus: King of the Gods by George O’Connor and others.
‘Tis the season! – the Bulletin of the Center for Children’s Books has released a Guide to Gift Books with a wide selection of graphic novels. Most of these titles aren’t new for 2010 but are still worthy for your collection if you’ve missed them. My favorites here include Binky the Space Cat by Ashley Spires and Little Vampire by Johann Sfar. NOTE: the graphic novels are not split out in a separate list so you need to do a search for ‘graphic novel’ in order to see them all easily.
The Texas Library Association has released its Maverick Graphic Novel List for 2011. In it’s second year and compiled by the Young Adult Round Table of the Texas Library Association, the list includes graphic novels for grades 6 to 12. Expect to find a wide range of titles including manga, superhero and others great books.

Are you guys making a best of the year list? I hope so! Thanks for the link to the Bulletin’s gift-books guide; I hadn’t seen that.
