The Sequential Tarts hold a lively round table discussion on Kill Shakespeare (IDW Comics), a staff favorite here at Good Comics for Kids. Curious about the series? Creators Anthony Del Col and Conor McCreery have posted a brief but attractive preview of issue #10 at the official Kill Shakespeare website.

Over at The Graphic Classroom, Chris Wilson sings the praises of Campfire Comics‘ adaptations of classic literature. “Comic adaptations are just that … adaptations,” he explains. “They are not to be feared as they are not designed to replace the classics. They simply offer scaffolding to the world of classics and give kids a stronger foundation on which to learn more, read more and get more out of literature.”

The Manga Bookshelf gang handicaps the Eisner Award for Best U.S. Edition of International Material–Asia, otherwise known as “manga.”

In July, Disney and Marvel will be publishing Meet the Muppets, a “giant-sized comic” featuring stories by artist Roger Langridge. Caveat emptor: Johanna Draper Carlson notes that Meet the Muppets is, in fact, a collection of material previously published by BOOM! Studios, something that isn’t stated clearly in the official press release.
