Mega Man #1 – The creators of the long-running Sonic the Hedgehog comic take on another video game franchise with this new series from Archie Comics. Dr. Light, a brilliant and benevolent scientist, unveils his latest creations, the Robot Masters. But the nefarious Dr. Wily steals them to use for his own sinister purposes. With no one left to stop him, Rock, a young boy with a peaceful heart must step up to become Mega Man to battle the maniacal Dr. Wily. This comic will follow the original Mega Man video game story-line, and will be told from Rock’s perspective. Considering how well Sonic the Hedgehog has done with creators Ian Flynn and Patrick Spaziante’s at the helm, I would expect Mega Man to just as good. Elementary and Middle school library and parents should definitely check this title out, especially if the kids like video games.
