On July 22nd through 24th, while attending San Diego International Comic-Con, I ran around to as many of my favorite kids comics creators as I could and asked them all the exact same questions. Keep in mind, exhibit halls are crazy loud and crazy busy, so there is a lot of background noise. Let me know in the comments if you have trouble hearing anything and I’ll translate for you.
Doug TenNapel has been a favorite of ours here at GC4K for some time. We’ve talked about reading his books in The Reading Pile, Mike reviewed Bad Island, we even discussed Ghostopolis as part of the GC4K Book Club (we really should get that going again). So, when the gang heard I was going back to SDCC, they all asked if I could try getting an interview with Mr. TenNapel.
“I’ll do my best,” I said.
(Please excuse the wonky orientation of this video. We didn’t realize it was sideways until it was too late.)
