The blurb for vol. 1 of Voltron Force, the graphic novel series from Viz, tells you all you need to know:

Seriously, teenagers and a giant robot—it’s gotta be good. Oh, there are villains too. The Voltron Force graphic novels are published by Viz as part of a new children’s graphic novel initiative; I talked to the editors about it for Publishers Weekly last week. (And don’t miss the book trailer!)

Brigid Alverson, the editor of the Good Comics for Kids blog, has been reading comics since she was 4. She has an MFA in printmaking and has worked as a book editor and a newspaper reporter; now she is assistant to the mayor of Melrose, Massachusetts.
