On May 4th through 6th, while attending the Toronto Comic Arts Festival, I ran around to as many of my favorite kids comics creators as I could and asked them all the exact same questions. Keep in mind, exhibit halls are crazy loud and crazy busy (even when they’re held in a library), so there is a lot of background noise. Let me know in the comments if you have trouble hearing anything and I’ll translate for you.
It seems like every time I turn around there’s another Frank Cammuso book coming out. And this is a good thing, because Frank Cammuso does very good work. His Knights of the Lunch Table series has been a mainstay in my collection since 2008 when Tbe Dodgeball Chronicles, the first book in the series came out. Otto’s Orange Day was one of the books that launched the TOON line and while it’s part of my collection, it never seems to be checked in.
During the lunch break at TCAF’s Librarian/Educator Day, I was lucky enough to be seated next to Frank. Either because he’s a very nice man, or because he was afraid I was going to start whining (possibly both), Frank agreed to answer my five questions. I’m glad he did, because I got great news about some upcoming books.
