BOOM! Studios launched their new line of Peanuts comics a little while, and if that seems rather audacious, given that Charles Schulz was the sole author of the newspaper strip, consider this: I attended the Peanuts panel at San Diego Comic-Con, where I learned, to my surprise, that there were Peanuts comic books in the 1950s and 1960s, and artists other than Schulz worked on them.
Here’s a preview from the latest Peanuts comic, which will be on newsstands tomorrow. It has a beach theme, and the comic includes a mix of old and new material; the first appearance of Schroeder is actually a variant cover. Good grief!
