The wonderful elementary librarians out there are getting very wiki. Elementary Library Routines is a new space for this particular community of practice to engage in knowledge sharing relating to effective practice.
The site explains:
This wiki was born from a short Twitter conversation and the admiration of the work of Harry Wong. Please add your expertise to our wiki. No need to reinvent the wheel when you have a strong library PLN. If you have any questions, feel free to email me @my gmail account: monarchlibrary. -Keisa Williams, Librarian (Monarch Academy, Oakland, CA)
Elementary Library Routines already contains a wealth of practical wisdom that would be welcome to newbie professionals and veterans alike. The organizers welcome your contributions and celebrate the wiki’s:
Top Contributors This Month!
This wiki is great and will only get better with more sharing! And check me out…currently a top contributor. Thanks for posting this! Wiki-wiki-wiki (said DJ turn-table style)
Thanks Joyce, for helping us build this resource and encouraging elementary librarians to connect & collaborate to enrich our professional practice. Kids and library programs win when we connect with our tribe!
Joyce,
Thanks for this post – I added some things myself to the wiki.
My Google Reader has not updated with any of your posts since May 26th! I deleted and resubscribed to the feed listed on the RSS page here, but no luck. Have you heard of anyone else having this problem?
Susan E, I had the same problem with Google Reader and Joyce’s blog. I emailed SLJ for suggestions. Make sure your feed link is like this:
