R & J remixed and enriched!
A thousand times good day!
I discovered Interactive Folio: Romeo and Juliet from my Diigo in Education group this week and I am in love.
This may be one potion to cure the star-crossed relationship some of my students experience with the Bard. I want to take all my Shakespeare with a pinch of Canadian Adaptation. (I hope they choose to go further than R & J!)
The Canadian Adaptations of Shakespeare Project attractively displays the text of Romeo and Juliet, enhanced with definitions, images, audio and video to support and enhance reading of the play.
Here you’ll find quite simply the most interactive and sophisticated version of Romeo and Juliet ever created: use it as a study guide and teaching tool. Read the play, read its English source texts, read critical materials on the play, explore Shakespeare’s vocabulary, and experience a full range of multi-media associated with the play.
Take a look inside the folio:
- Secondary School Teacher’s Guides
- Post-Secondary Syllabi and Exemplars
- Course One — ‘Speare: The Literacy Arcade Game
- Course Two — Slings & Arrows
- Course Three — Smoking Shakespeare: Tobacco Sponsorship in the Arts
- Course Four — Designing Shakespeare
- Course Five — Death of a Chief: Adapting Julius Caesar from a First Nations Perspective
