My new toy
Note: This is not a review. A real review would have comparisons and specs and far more seriousness.
This is just me doing a little happy dance about my new toy.
As a result of some not-so-subtle holiday hinting, Dennis gave me the 3M MP225 Mobile Projector and a cable this week.
Yes, this cute little projector fits in my hand (and my purse) and allows me to present in the kitchen even if it’s not completely dark.
Note: no one here really wants me to present in the kitchen.
But when I get back to school after the break, I can share all the cool stuff I discover on my laptop at a moment’s notice. When I get an impromptu Skype thing going–with the #swvbc, for instance, I will be able to quickly share it without moving to another workstation.
And I will be able to travel with it.
And it is Apple-friendly. It will project my iPad2 and my iPhone (though I never have much to project from my phone).
The sound output is not impressive, but happily this week Dennis also gave me a very cute little speaker that also fits in my purse. Please also note the cute deep orange purse below.

Finally please note: It’s actually now the cables (not shown) that are taking up the space in the cute deep orange purse.
Actual final note: This projector is quite lovely, but it will not replace your super-duper, nonpurse-sized model.
