Google’s Solve for X
On Monday, Google launched its Solve for X project–a forum to encourage and amplify technology-based moonshot thinking and teamwork.
Solve for X talks address three criteria.
They must
- highlight a huge problem
- present a concrete solution that could make a radical impact
- explain breakthrough science and technology that could enable this solution
The videos archived on this site should be as useful to teachers as the wonderful TED Talks so many of us have integrated into our instructional programs. Their radical out-of the box thinking–their audaciousness–should inspire learners and demonstrate the power of imagination and creativity. Share these talks across the disciplines, but especially with your science, technology, math, economics, and global studies classes.
For more information participate in the Google+ Page conversation, consider subscribing to the RSS feed, and check out the New York Times article on the formerly secretive Google X research lab.
