Glogster for iPad
I’ve been a fan of Glogster since its beginning back in 2007. A couple of weeks back the Glogster app launched.
Built specifically for iPad and for Glogster EDU users, the interface is easy and elegant and allows for simple placement and linking of media objects on an intuitive drag-and-drop Glog canvas. Especially nice is the app’s handy interaction with your camera (to shoot images and video), your camera roll (for easy import), and your microphone. You can record your own audio and video, import content from your libraries, or from YouTube, Google Images, Google Video, Khan Academy and Wikipedia.
The app features an impressive library of educational graphics, categorized by subject, as well as three handy templates and a sweet collection of text displays. Photos and images may be edited with Aviary effects and linked to URLs. Finished Glogs are sharable on Pinterest, Facebook, or may be tweeted, emailed or exported. Saved glogs are instantly synced and available online.
A button links glog creators to Glogpedia, a template library of more than 7000 Glogs categorized into nine disciplines on 80 topics, from classrooms around the world.
Students login with their EDU username and password or may create a login directly in the app.
If you are already Glogster fan, and you have iPads in your classroom or library, this free app is a must download.
