I was thrilled to see Loree Griffin Burns' new book, CITIZEN SCIENTISTS: BE A PART OF SCIENTIFIC DISCOVERY FROM YOUR OWN BACKYARD. This excellent book shows young readers what it means to be an active citizen. We need many, many more books like this that make thinking about the world visible to young readers.
