Are you Fused?

The fantastic Judy Freeman and I discussed some of our favorite blogs during her recent trip to Nashville. We are so in tune that we both had Betsy Bird’s A Fuse #8 Production at the top of our list (or just Fuse#8 as I list it).  The description of the blog at the top appeals to my quirky personality:

Children’s literature is not for the weak. It’s a ruthless cutthroat business with lots of gnashes of the teeth. Children’s librarianship, in contrast, is a sweet sweet ride. I’m just gonna include links and tips to things I find interesting, while also including a review of a children’s book each day

I have to admit I enjoy the detailed thorough reviews because they don’t always agree with everyone else,  the side thoughts like what you call those flippy book thingys, and, most of all, the links all down the right side of the page. Could I get away with having a list of the Hot Men in Children’s Literature on my blog? Hey! Wait a minute! The list of Hot Women is woefully inadequate! I think we should all help Fuse#8 out with this list.

I’m taking this time on a stormy Friday to browse the children’s lit lists and make my shopping trip for the public library. I need to enjoy every precious moment of this summer vacation. If you need other lit blogs, be sure to check out the other two on Judy’s Top Three:

In an odd twist of fate, author Kirby Larson (of recent Newbery Honor fame) has picked up the Hot Women of Children’s Literature gauntlet and has regular postings on that very topic. I simply cannot compete.

    Thanks for the link!

Excuse the messiness below, but I found the link and I am attempting to force this blog software to accept the information. www.
